SciLog-ers might be interested in helping out a couple of Science Communication M.Sc. Students.
If you’ve ever been in the situation of needing to recruit respondents for survey questionnaires, you’ll perhaps appreciate how troublesome it can be. So please consider completing and/or promulgating the following online surveys:
1. ‘a piece of original research into the public awareness and perception of a certain scientific discipline.’
http://juliegould.net/survey/sci-comm-research/
2. ‘looking at news sources, brand identity and how trust is transferred across different media’

Thanks.

‘Dear all,
My name is Julie Gould, and I am currently studying at Imperial College for the science communication masters.
As part of my degree I am doing a piece of original research into the public awareness and perception of a certain scientific discipline.
I have put together an online survey and would really appreciate it if you would be able to help me with my research and fill it out.
If you can help, please answer all the questions as honestly as possible. All answers will be collected in complete confidence, and will only be used for analysis purposes and will be sercures in a file which only the researchers can access.
There are a total of 22 questions divided into three sections: A, B, C. In total, the survey should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
After each question, please click on the “Next” button at the bottom of the page to go on to the next question. At the end of the survey, please click on the “Submit survey” button. At this point, you have the option to leave your contact details if you would like to be debriefed, and get some more information about the research. If you do not wish to leave your details, please feel free to ignore this part of the survey.
To get to the survey, please click on: http://juliegould.net/survey/sci-comm-research/
Many thanks,
Julie Gould’

‘Hello all. My name’s Will Davies, and i’m on the MSc Science Communication at UWE, Bristol.
As a part of the dissertation i’m working on, there’s an online survey looking at news sources, brand identity and how trust is transferred across different media. If mailing list members would like to complete, share and feed back on the survey, the link is:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NewsandMediaTrust
The whole thing only takes a minute or two.
Looking forward to hearing your responses.
